Metalwork
In the Bassi design language, metal is more than a support: it is the architectural framework behind slender proportions, a strong silhouette and lasting structure. Cutting, welding, finishing and coating are managed with equal precision.
The Bassi Material Library
We approach metal, natural wood, marble and textiles not as surfaces, but as design elements that shape form, comfort and time.
Respect for Material
Every design carries a different load, meets a different body and belongs to a different space. We therefore assess materials through function, durability, touch and the way they age before appearance alone.
From sample and prototype to production and final inspection, designers and craftspeople work together. The original idea is preserved with the same precision in the finished piece.
Four Core Disciplines
We preserve the natural character of every material and unite different disciplines through one understanding of proportion and detail.
In the Bassi design language, metal is more than a support: it is the architectural framework behind slender proportions, a strong silhouette and lasting structure. Cutting, welding, finishing and coating are managed with equal precision.

Grain direction, tone and natural variation are part of the design. We shape solid wood and veneer with sound construction, precise joints and durable finishes.

Each stone slab is treated as a unique composition. Vein direction, edge details and connections with metal or wood are planned around the proportions of the piece.

Touch, colour, abrasion resistance and care are considered together. Frame construction, foam layers, stitching and upholstery expertise create comfort designed to last.

Design and Production Under One Roof
Design decisions are developed directly with our metal, wood and upholstery craftspeople. This close collaboration lets us respond to bespoke dimensions and personalisation with control.
Joints, transitions and the small details felt in daily use are tested on prototypes. Production follows a repeatable quality system; the finishing touch comes from the maker’s experience.
Machines provide precision; the maker’s eye and hand give the piece its character.
Our Quality Approach
Materials are selected for technical performance, colour harmony, grain and texture; surfaces used in the same piece are evaluated together.
Colour, coating, joint and ergonomic decisions are verified on samples or prototypes before production.
Metal, wood and upholstery teams work from shared technical details so every transition is resolved as part of one coherent piece.
Dimensions, surfaces, stitching, mechanisms and packaging are checked; a piece leaves for delivery only after meeting every criterion.
